Food Banks: Charity or Injustice? – J&P Survey

Food Banks:Charity or Injustice? - Report on the Commission's survey

Between December 2014 and February 2015 the Commission undertook a survey within the Leeds diocese in order to find out what people in individual parishes are doing about local food poverty.

What comes across is a picture of many people wanting to respond in practical ways to the needs that they see around them. A lot of people are involved with specific projects within their parish. Many people give money regularly to the SVP. Many people are also involved in other organisations (such as Trussell Trust Food Banks) and a large number are regularly donating money or food to food banks.
