SPARK social justice

Saturday October 11 2025

10:30am – 4pm

So many terrible things are happening in the world today.

How do we cope? Where do we look to find signs of Hope?

Earlier in 2025 we welcomed Fr Luis Orlando to give the Romero Lecture. People attending were moved by his descriptions of his work with the families of the disappeared in Mexico and with other marginalised groups. We are delighted that, with the financial support of the Jesuit Social Justice Fund, SPARK have been able to invite him to return to lead this day retreat.

As well as input from Fr Luis Orlando, there will be time for discussion and private reflection. This retreat day will also include mass.

The day will include a light buffet lunch and tea, coffee and water will be provided.

We are using Hinsley Hall as the venue. However,  the room that we will be using will only accommodate up to a maximum of 25 people – places on this event are very limited.  So it is essential to book a place.

It is a donation event – you will need to pay a minimum donation of £1 on the Eventbrite page in order to book a place.
