Leeds will be hosting Nicolas Paz, director of CNI (Catholic Non Violence Initiative) on Sunday March 15th from 2.00 – 6.00 pm at the Quaker Meeting House, Woodhouse Lane.
As well as coordinating the work of CNI, Nicolas teaches at the Pontifical University of Salamanca and his expertise is in mediation and conflict resolution.
CNI is a programme of Pax Christi International, a global movement dedicated to promoting active nonviolence as a core principle of the Gospel. We believe that nonviolence is central to the teachings of Jesus and vital to the mission of the Catholic Church. By fostering a culture of peace, justice, and reconciliation, we strive to heal and transform both human relationships and our planet.
The afternoon will take the form of a workshop focusing on practical tools for dealing with conflict in the tradition of active non- violence.
This event is organised by Leeds Pax Christi in partnership with Quakers from Carlton Hill meeting.
