This could be the prelude to an evening out in Manchester!

They write:

Extinction is a big and sometimes overwhelming topic. It’s hard to get our brains around the scope of extinction in geological time, and to make sense of human responsibility in the present.

Equipping Christian Leadership in an Age of Science (ECLAS), an ecumenical science-faith engagement project, is holding a free panel discussion at the Church of the Holy Name on Manchester Oxford Road on Tuesday 11 June, 5.30-7pm. Hear from leading scientists and theologians as we explore this topic in a spirit of openness and honesty.

The panel will be made up of:

  • Bishop David Walker
  • Prof Sadiah Qureshi, University of Manchester
  • Prof Colin Beale, University of York
  • Mick Oliver, Natural England
  • Chair: Revd Prof Charlotte Sleigh, UCL

The event is free.
