The Northern Dioceses’ Environment Group have organised this mini-pilgrimage as their annual ‘in person’ event. Everyone from across the Northern Dioceses is warmly invited to come and join them.

They will meet at Leeds City Station at 12:45 and the walk will start promptly at 1pm.

The majority of the route is surprisingly peaceful as it is along the towpath of the Leeds and Liverpool canal. There will be a short prayer service within the Abbey buildings when we arrive there (expected to be around 3:15pm – 3:30pm – total distance is 4.7 miles).

There is a good bus service from the main Kirkstall road outside the abbey back into the centre of Leeds. If you are thinking of bringing a car then the best thing to do would be to park at Kirkstall Abbey car park and get the bus back into the centre of Leeds to join walkers at the station, thus avoiding trying to find a parking space in the centre of Leeds on a Saturday.

To sign up for the walk please use the button to add your contact details so full details about the walk can be sent to you.
